Katie Deming, MS, is a Technical Assistance Specialist in the Urban Institute’s Health Policy Center. As the Deputy Director of Policies for Action, Katie oversees the program’s operations, evaluation, and grant management processes. Prior to joining the Urban Institute, she served as the Deputy Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Faculty Scholars program, a research and leadership development award for junior nursing faculty. In this position Katie had a leadership role in strategic planning, leadership development, and the evaluation of the program. She co-authored three manuscripts as part of a special issue in Nursing Outlook on the program’s evaluation, leadership training, and diversity efforts. Katie received her Master’s degree at Northeastern University College of Professional Studies.
